09/21/16 14:27 Basic Info Finn was born in his previous owner’s home and lived with him for almost his entire life, except for the past two months . During this period of time, Finn was living outside of his owner’s mother’s house. He is one and a half years old. Socialization Finn was reported to be friendly around strangers. He lived with a five year old, who he played gently with and loved to sit near. Finn was reported to play a bit more roughly with adults. He would sometimes lightly nip his owner, but never so hard that it broke skin. Finn did not live with cats inside the house, but when he was outside for the past two months owner reported that he spent time with other neighborhood cats and they would sometimes all come into the house together. Finn has never lived with dogs. Behavior Finn will occassionally try to escape the house. This behavior has mostly developed after he was being let outside on a regular basis. Finn will scratch furniture if he doesn’t have a scratching post. He has urinated outside of the litter box a few times, but previous owner stated this was only when the litter box was very dirty. Finn will allow to be brushed and held. He struggles a bit when put in a carrier, but will ultimately allow it without hissing or swatting. For a New Family to Know Finn was described as affectionate, mellow, and confident. He is generally quiet, but can get talkative around food time. Finn was reported to have a low activity level. His favorite time to play is in the morning when light reflects off of phones/watches/etc onto walls. He used to follow his previous owner around the house. He is used to eating dry food. He had an uncovered litterbox with crystal litter in his previous home. Behavior During Intake Finn blinked at counselor several times from inside carrier. He took about five minutes to walk out of his carrier on his own, but when he did he allowed petting on his head and neck. He allowed for collaring. He allowed counselor to pick him up and put him back in his carrier.
