*** SAFE 10/12/17 *** **SECOND CHANCE** SUPER SWEET BEGINNER FIGARO IS A SOCIAL AND AFFECTIONATE OLDER GIRL WHO NEEDS SOME MEDICAL CARE! Figaro came in as a stray and is very sweet girl. The ACC vet feels that she has an abdominal mass and will need further diagnostics. She appears to be eating well. Figaro needs someone who will get her a full medical check up to determine what may be wrong and treat her. Figaro will reward you with all the head-butts, purrs and cuddles she can give! PLEASE RESERVE THIS LOVEABLE SENIOR BY NOON!!

Behavior Assessment Date: 10/6/2017 Retest Date: Retest Reason: Next Test Date: KNOWN HISTORY: Figaro was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: friendly Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Figaro is sitting in the middle of her kennel and appears alert. Reaction when softly spoken to: Figaro immediately comes to the front of the kennel door with her tail erect. Reaction to cage door opening: Figaro meows and head butts the assessors hand to be pet. Reaction to touch: Figaro leans in for chin rubs, allows petting all over, and purrs. Her ears are tilted forwards, her tail remains erect. Reaction to being picked up: Figaro has a soft body when picked up. She seems to enjoy being held and continues leaning on the assessors hand to be pet while being held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social Sweet Affectionate People oriented Easy going BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Beginner Behavior Asilomar H – Healthy RECOMMENDATIONS: None BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Figaro interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. [DVM Intake] Estimated age: 12 years History : stray; did not appear to have eaten any food in the kennel Subjective: Observed Behavior – friendly Evidence of Cruelty seen -no Evidence of Trauma seen -no Objective BCS= 2/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: moderate dental calc; mm’s pale pink PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, mild tachypnea ABD: Non painful, firm irregular mass palpated in mid to caudal abdomen U/G: F MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, decreased skin turgor,dorsal muscle wasting CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment emaciated- R/O GI disease vs renal disease vs liver disease vs endocrine disease vs other abdominal mass- R/O neoplasia vs fecal material in colon vs other moderate anemia (hematocrit= 23 on 10/3/17) mildly elevated BUN (45 on 10/3/17)- R/O renal disease vs dehydration vs other mildly elevated ALT- R/O liver disease vs other Prognosis:poor Plan: gave 50 mls SQ LRS recommend euthanasia
