SAFE 3/3/16 A volunteer writes: Fernando is a sweet, affectionate, big guy who absolutely goes into a happy trance when you scratch his neck just right. I have to say, it’s a very sweet sight. He would do best with experienced cat parents or parent, but other than that, he is a laid back boy who will be happy to hang out and listen to you or whatever is going on. This handsome hunk is waiting for people to come scratch his chin and talk to him! Come meet him today, he is neutered and all ready to go.
Another volunteer writes: My name is Fernando, and I’m handsome dude with some pretty great manners. As soon as I see my human friends, I come right to the front of my cage to bow my head and let my human friends know that I would love some head rubs. Thankfully, they love to give them to me so it is a win-win situation for us all! I would love the chance to be a furry companion again, and I hope you will consider helping me find a loving, forever home.
Another volunteer writes: Here we have the calmest little man who couldn’t be more content than to rest his head on my hand and use it as his own personal pillow for however long I was willing to let him borrow it. And all the while he was purring away. Such a good, sweet boy!

Lots of hissing and growling at first. Likely provoked by nearby fractious cat. Calmed down significantly over time. Sprayed feliway.
2/1/16
No more hissing or growling. Lying towards front, still seems unsure. Became stiff when pet, but allowed the touch.
2/2/16
Very vocal and attention-seeking today. At the front, meowing and rubbing against bars. Leaned hard into pets, very sweet.
