Felicity has warmed up since at the shelter and she is AVERAGE rated. She will need follow up medical care but most of all needs a home NOW!! PLEASE RESERVE FELICITY BY NOON!

I came into the shelter as a aco impound on 15-Oct-2017.
Felicity is at risk due to medical conditions, URI and FELV.
Felicity 9820 is at risk for an upper respiratory infection (URI) and FIV. Behaviorally, she has been a bit timid but warms up with attention and allows all handling. We recommend an adopter with an average amount of cat experience.

[DVM Intake] DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 3yrs Microchip noted on Intake? none History : Subjective: Observed Behavior – placed in net as p would not tolerate handling, once in net, able to examine but was stressed Evidence of Cruelty seen -no Evidence of Trauma seen -no Objective limited exam since p placed in net then became lethargic from stress, wanted to minimize stress from handling- didn’t show any aggression during exam EENT: audibly congested, moderate purulent nasal d/c, moderate mucoid ocular d/c. Appeared to have menace intact OU, but d/t limited exam (was stressed), wasn’t able to re assess (upon intake reported concerns p was blind) Oral Exam: pale pink gums PLN: unable to palpate H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: FI, grossly normal, unable to palpate for MGTs MSI: Ambulatory x 4, flea dirt seen, BCS 2.5/9 CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment URI, conjunctivitis dehydrated approx. 3-5%, weak pale pink gums: r/o secondary to fleas, other FeLV positive Prognosis:open, pending response to treatment Plan: move to medical ISO applied Paradefense for fleas gave convenia 80mg/ml: 0.2ml in case unable to medicate (was given through net when was not able to examine hands on) Pet Tinic 0.5ml PO SID x10days LRS 50ml SQ SID x3 B-12 inj 0.25ml SID x3 nebulize BID x3days cerenia 10mg/ml: 0.2ml SQ SID x3 for congestion, inflammation doxycycline 50mg/ml: 0.4ml PO SID x10days erythromycin OU BID x10days ideally would be placed on IV fluids, if p not as stressed and tolerates- pls consider placing SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI, undercondition

Hx: FeLV, URI. Admitted 10/15/17. On treatment with SQF, vit B complex, nebulization, Cerenia, doxycycline, erythromycin ophth ointment. S: Hisses when I approach; tense, but allows most handling. Good appetite this morning. Sitting at back of kennel, eyes half-closed. O: QAR. BCS 5/9. Estimated 8% dehydrated based on decreased skin turgor. EENT: Eyes crusted with mucoid discharge. Nose half covered with mucoid discharge. H/L: Audibly congested. Did not auscult. Abd: Soft abd, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: No skin lesions noted. Neuro: Alert and appropriate, no sign neurological deficiencies A: 1. URI, dehydration 2. FeLV Short-term prognosis: Fair P: Increase SQF to 150 ml SID, extend x5 more days. Extend nebs for additional 5 days. 1088
S/O no obvious appetite QAR, slightly unsocialized but allows handling mm lgt pk, sl tacky mild mucoid nasal discharge OU-mild to moderate conjunctivitis eupnic, heart/lungs WNL soft abdomen unthrifty, mild to moderate muscle wasting A URI/conjunctivits Felv lgt pk mm-suspect mild anemia unthrifty, poor BCS P add mirtazapine 15 mg tab: 1/8 tab PO prognosis: guarded

KNOWN HISTORY:: Felicity was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 10/16/17 Resting in middle bedding, seems really rundown. Lay in place when door opened, shifted back slightly when shown assess-a-hand, then hunched in place and tolerated pets. Seemed too sick to really respond. 10/17/17 Resting at back, eyes crusted over, almost shut. Seems really sick. Stayed hunched in place, started lip licking when door opened. Shifted back, then tolerated pets, but continually leaned away. Sprayed feliway.
Cage Condition:: No change
Reaction to assessor:: Felicity remains neutral, crouched position on her cage bedding.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Felicity remains immobile in place.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Felicity shows no interest with eyes half closed, ears relaxed and forward.
Reaction to touch:: Felicity accepts the touch, slowly leans into the assessor’s hand, but shows no further interest.
Reaction to being picked up:: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Laid back
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Calm,Sweet
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : Average
