BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with FB. at the time he was hiding under blanket and stays wrapped. FB shifts away when touched and has a tense body but allows petting.
Reaction to assessor: FB does not come to front but remains neutral
When spoken quietly: FB does not come to front but remains neutral
Reaction to door cage opening: FB retreats
Reaction to touch: FB seems indifferent to my presence and touch
Try picking cat up: FB is tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
Behavior Determination: Experience
At the time of the assessment FB was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet he and interact with he in a limited way. I was also able to pick he up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
