KNOWN HISTORY:
Farrah was brought in without information on her behavior history or tendencies in her previous home environment. She was initially brought in a month ago and was reported to be friendly with her caretakers and the caretaker’s pets. She enjoyed playing with the caretaker’s dogs and was respectful towards the caretaker’s cat. During intake, she was very nervous since she was brought in being loose in the owner’s car.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Observed Behavior – Hissing, swatting, growling
EVALUATION:
Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor: Farrah was sitting upright by the front, calm and relaxed.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Farrah meows and reaches out gently with her paw, soliciting attention.
Reaction to cage door opening: Farrah greets the assessor by the opening.
Reaction to touch: Farrah begins to purr right away and leans in for cheek rubs while rubbing her head against the assessor. Her tail pilo-erects and sways softly, but she continues to rub against the assessor and solicit attention while she looks around at her surroundings.
Reaction to being picked up: Farrah remains soft and continues to purr when held.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
VOCAL: Somewhat chatty
CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Bold, Affectionate
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average
