11/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Fall was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Fall was hiding behind his bedding with his body lowered and his ears bent flat. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fall keeps his tail curled up at his side; his eyes are focused on the assessor, and he doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Fall remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Fall lip licks upon approach and flinches when touched for the first time. His body is tense, he stress meows when pet on his head and his eyes stay focused on the assessor’s hand. He seems uncomfortable, looks outside the kennel and is wary of his surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Fall tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
