FAIRY – A1081358
Gone - 7-19-2016 Brooklyn
** GONE 07/19/16 **Thirteen week old Fairy was brought into the shelter system with a half dozen littermates. He and the rest of his posse were already altered by the finder when they arrived at the Brooklyn Center. Fairy is a bit perplexed by his current situation; but, is doing fairly well in the shelter system. Unfortunately, he caught the dreaded shelter cold and now he must make a fast exit. Fairy needs a Fairy Godmother by noon tomorrow or he will not make it out alive. Please help this adorable baby by sharing, fostering through a New Hope Partner or reserving him on the NYC ACC website.

07/18/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please note that Fairy is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Fairy does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Fairy does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Fairy retreats Reaction to touch: Fairy moves away from me to avoid being touched Try picking cat up: Fairy is not tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Experience Fairy was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
