Now this shy lady is fighting for her life tonight on the At Risk list. I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/06/2016 from NY 10306, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

06/06/16 18:34 Animal’s appearance – Animal appeared clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – Fadora was very nervous during intake and kept hiding in the back of the trap. I was able to transfer from trap to den without any issues. Finder stated he has a bunch of cats in his backyard and was able to trap this one today and bring it to our facility.

6/9 eval: Fadora was very nervous during intake and kept hiding in the back of the trap. She was able to be transferred from trap to den without any issues. Reaction to assessor: Fadora does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fadora does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Fadora becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Fadora is immobile when touched. Behavior Determination: Experienced Fadora tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. 6/17 update: Fadora continues to be stressed in the shelter environment, and she continues to show signs of discomfort (hissing, growling) when approached. We feel it is in her best interest to move into a stable home environment as quickly as possible.
