Initial Exam (1/28/17)
Microchip: negative
Sex: intact female
Age: appx 2y
Mentation: BARH
Eyes: clear
Ears: clean
Nose: no d/c
Teeth: minimal staining
If abnormal BCS: WNL 5/9
Skin: WNL
Hair Coat: WNL
Declawed: no
Any injuries: reported HBC and dragging hind legs, cold to the touch and no withdrawal, no anal tone, cat did urinate on exam, puncture up at right scapula but cat would not allow explore, hr/rr WNL (slightly tachy due to fear)
Behavior: would allow minimal handling, painful and nervous, hisses, quickly moves away from handler and drags hinds, swats and attempts to bite
Medication: on call DVM rec. convenia 0.36ml and 0.24ml buprenorphine, on for sedated exam in morning
Re-Exam (1/29/17)
S: quiet and not moving in feral den, but extremely fractious when handled
O: sedated for majority of exam
prior to sedation, brief neuro exam and auscultation was performed
CV: NMA, pink moist mm
Resp: lungs clear, tachypnic at 44/min
MS & Neuro: forelimbs strong withdrawal, voluntary motor present; no withdrawal, no motor and no pain response in hindlimbs, no tail tone, large easily expressed bladder, urinary incontinence, hyporeflexive anal tone
Int: 0.5cm diameter wound on R lateral thorax round with cauterized skin edges
sedated with 0.45ml DKTB IM
Rads: no pelvic facture, 2 metal opacities noted in ventral abd cavity and another near thoracic vert #
