ENGLAND was brought in possibly hit by a car – he may have a pelvic fracture, head trauma and needs further medical. He is hesitant to walk on hind limbs. Super friendly and calm. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/29/17- Observed Behavior – calm, easily examined and treated ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/30/17- Resting in cat bad, eyes dilated, possibly due to medication? Lay in place when door opened, leaned into pets, purred, and closed eyes. Ate offered treats after door closed. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: England remains neutral, lying down on his cage bedding during the approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: England softens up in place. Reaction to cage door opening: England remains relaxed, alert with soft eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: England allows the petting, purrs, and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: Unable to perform do to medical condition. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average England interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 1 Microchip noted on Intake? no History : stray, possible hit by car Subjective: QAR, hydrated Observed Behavior – calm, easily examined and treated Evidence of Cruelty seen – no Evidence of Trauma seen – yes Objective P = 120 R = 20 BCS: 4/9 EENT: Eyes clear, mild anisocoria (left mydriatic), ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: negative oral PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, large urinary bladder, easily expressed +++ hematuria U/G: female intact MSI: Ambulatory x 4 but hesitant to walk crepitus on both hind limbs, suspect pelvic fracture, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: rectal tone present Assessment: possible hit by car, pelvic fracture, head trauma Plan: 0.3 ml simbadol sq xrays: thorax: within normal limits. No obvious abdominal injuries or long bone fractures. Bilateral SI luxations, with pubis fracture. Continue to monitor at MACC, continue analgesics consider orthopedic consultation may heal well with cage rest/supportive care Prognosis: fair to good with SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to injuries
