Subjective: Alert, friendly, at front of kennel
Observed Behavior – Allowed full exam, purring and head-butting. Yowled and scratched when microchipped
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9
EENT: Mild serous nasal discharge. Eyes clear, ears clean, no ocular discharge noted.
Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Occasional sneeze/sniffle. Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Two firm fetus-shaped masses in the abdomen – nonpainful, abdomen only slightly distended. Non painful.
U/G: Female, no vulvar discharge or mammary development
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
Retroviral snap test – did not run properly, there are four visible dots and the background is blue.
1. Possibly pregnant vs. abd masses
3. Undefined retroviral status
Prognosis: Open – depends on pregnancy status
1. Take abd rads and repeat FeLV/FIV test
2. Doxycycline 0.5 ml PO SID x10 days
