ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Independent MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 6/12/17- Observed Behavior – tense and nervous, allowed exam EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: El Rey remains lying down, soft posture on his cage bedidng during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: El Rey remains alert with eyes wide open, ears erect and forward, slowly retreating. Reaction to touch: El Rey allows the touch, while he stiffen up in place with no interest during the interaction. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: El Rey tolerates attention and petting, but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
