08/27/17 12:12 Basic Information: Edu is a black and white DSH estimated to be about 1 year. He is a known community cat that was found injured and brought in. His back righ leg looks to be broken. Behavior during intake: Edu was purring, kneading, and head-butting. He allowed me to pet him and sniffed extended hand. He had a relaxed body and went into his carrier easily. However, due to his injury, handling was limted.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet KNOWN HISTORY: Edu was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/27/17- sweet boy, interactive and allows all handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/28/17- Resting on cat bed, soft eyes and body. Lay in place when door opened. Leaned into pets, purred, rolled all the way over. Ate offered treats. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Edu remains neutral, lying down on his cage bedding during the approach. Reaction to door opening: Edu becomes alert with soft eyes, relaxed body posture, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Edu head bunts the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates petting while rolling over in place. Reaction to being picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Edu interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
