EDITH – A1079236
Gone - 7-7-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 07/07/16*** NEEDS HELP TONIGHT: Edith has seen better days. When, we are not sure because you don’t get into her state over night. Forget about her photo, reading her medical, her bio, her assessment would bring anyone to tears. Edith is a mess, there is no sugar coating that. At 10 years old, this girl is tired; tired of fending for herself, tired of all the attention ( and not the good kind). She wants to be left alone and live her life. But we all know that cannot happen, she is at the ACC, one of the largest High Kill Shelters in the country. Edith is sacred and alone, and hisses at times but she enjoys being pet. There is hope for humanity. Edith has some stiff competition tonight, 40 other cats wanting to live. But just because she has medical issues doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve to live out her golden years in a loving home peacefully. Edith needs you tonight, without you she will die. Don’t her down down and don;t let her leave this earth alone and scared. share her before it is too late.

07/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Edith looks tense in the cage when approached by assessor. Reaction to door opening: Edith remains tightly curled on her cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Edith accepts the stroke while she hisses once during the touch and shows no interest. Placement determination: Experience / no child Edith tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
