08/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ebby was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ebby gets up from her litter box and slowly approaches the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ebby curls up and starts stress grooming. Reaction to cage door opening: Ebby remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ebby lip licks and leans away from contact. She shifts around and tolerates brief petting before hissing. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ebby tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
