I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/12/2017 from NY 11233, owner surrender reason stated was PET HEALTH.

Recheck cat, presented with pelvic fracture 9/12. currently on simbadol and onsior S/O: QAR and ~5% dehydrated. Is not eating and empty litter box. No c/s/v/d. Attention seeking, allows petting and will head butt but becomes tense and tries to move away when attempting to move/examine. EENT: Eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge, pink mm HL: No sneezing, normal RR/RE INTEG: WNL MS: Not eager to move around the cage. Sits sternally. Can crawl forward if motivated but will not get up on his own ABD: SNP, NMP UG: MN A: Right sided pelvic fractures SI luxation Obese Mass effect in retroperitoneal space -likelyt fat Dehydrated Decreased appetite P: Continue onsior 0.64ml SQ q24. Continue with simbadol 0.24mg/kg SQ SID. May do well with cage rest only vs surgical repair Recheck daily LRS 20ml/kg SQ once Cerenia 1mg/kg SQ once Good prognosis with appropriate treatment/care

09/12/17 17:52 Dynasty came into the care center as a stray cat that was hit by a car. The cat showed up in the area a few weeks ago. She allows people pet her and pick her up. During the admissions process, Dynasty could not move her hind legs but she allowed to be picked up, collared, and scanned without any behavior concerns.

KNOWN HISTORY: Dynasty was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Allowed handling but growling, tense ENRICHMENT NOTES: 09/14/17 Lying in front of kennel, body relaxed. Leans in for petting. Allows touch along head and body, ears remaining forward. Doing well! EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Dynasty was lying down and relaxed on his blanket near the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dynasty leans forward to sniff then rubs his cheeks on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Dynasty is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Dynasty sniffs the assessor then gently nudges his hand and leans in for attention. He gives head butts when rubbed and allows petting all over his body. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Affectionate Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Dynasty interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
