Dusty is a 6 year old spayed female DSH that owner has to surrender due to personal problems.
According to the owner, around strangers Dusty is very friendly and approached strangers right away from attention Owner stated if he has guests over, Dusty will jump into their laps and purr. She has been around children ages 4-13 & was always respectful and playful with the children. Owner had 19 other cats in the home & stated that Dusty was always respectful around the other cats. She has never been around other dogs so behavior is unknown. Dusty has never bit another animal or person while in the care of the owner.
Dusty is afraid of being given a bath, having his nails trimmed and being put into a carrier and will struggle to run away. She is not bothered by having her coat brushed and being picked up/held.
For a New Family to Know:
Dusty is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and quiet with a low activity level. In the home, Dusty liked to follow the owner around & give kisses. She enjoys playing with balls, string toys, and catnip toys in the home. Dusty was kept indoors only & is litter box trained. In the home, she used a hooded litter box with clumping litter. Owner had a scratching post made of carpet in the home that Dusty used but owner also stated that Dusty would scratch on the furniture in the home. Dusty was fed both wet & dry food brand name Friskies.
