*** SAFE 12/17/17 *** DREYFUSS lived in a basement for his whole 7 years! Owner said they couldn’t interact with him….possibly because they didn’t try! DREYFUSS is very fearful and not social because of the fear. He will need an experienced cat purrson to work with him and help him to blossom. If you can help DREYFUSS, please contact the Help Desk at [email protected] to obtain rescue referrals.
Staten Island Center
Hello, my name is Dreyfus. My animal id is #14340. I am a desexed female black cat at the Staten Island Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 7 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 21-Nov-2017, with the surrender reason stated as animal behaviour – too unsocial.
Dreyfus 14340 is at risk for behavior challenges (New Hope Only determination). She has allowed minimal handling the care center, quickly escalating to warning behaviors (growling, lunging) that have made him unsafe to remove from her kennel. Dreyfus does not have any medical concerns.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
