12/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Drew was curled up tight on his blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Drew turns towards the assessor, slow blinks and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Drew remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Drew lip licks and hisses when the assessor extends his hand out. He closes his eyes and flinches when touched, has a tense/stiff body and slowly turns his head away after a few soft passes. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Drew tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
