07/03/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/03/17 09:27 Basic Info: Dory A1117304 is a female calico DSH who was given to the owner as a gift a 1yr ago and is being surrendered along with her kitten Nemo A1117305 due to her unpredictable behavior; biting and or scratching people . They’ve never been to a veterinarian & currently have no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Dory is shy for a several minutes with strangers but usually stays away from them but has scratched a teen that was visiting the home a couple of weeks ago (did not break skin/bleed). She hasn’t been around dogs but was fearful or aggressive (hissing, growling and sometimes swatting or biting with the adults & a teen in the home (the younger children were kept away from Dory due to her behavior). Dory has bitten/scratched a couple of people. Behavior: During car rides Dory will meow. She isn’t bothered by being put into a carrier. Dory hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting, had her nails trimmed, been bathed or brushed. Dory likes to be pet/held/affectionate on her terms and not for too long. For a New Family to Know: Dory is described as mellow, independent, aloot, playful (alone) & quiet with low-medium activity level. When the owner is home Dory follows them around sometimes. She’s an indoor cat that sleeps around the home, eats dry & canned Friskies cat food 2-3x a day, uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter within and scratches on the couch; she doesn’t have a scratching post. Intake Behavior: Dory allowed to be picked up and placed into a kennel while hissing but after that she attempted to scratch me through the kennel bars while hissing, keening & growling. Due to these behaviors I was unable to scan, collar or take her picture on the backdrop.

Reaction to cage door opening: Dory stands with tail up, slowly sniffing the hand.
