11/13/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/14/16 07:59 BASIC INFO Domi is a 13 year old spayed DSH cat. Her family got her as a stray when she was a kitten and surrendered her due to her owner’s declining health. He had already rehomed his other 6 cats but was having difficulty parting with Domi. SOCIALIZATION Domi lived with an adult man and an adult woman. She is friendly/outgoing with strangers. She plays gently with adults. She lived with 6 other cats (male and female), including her kittens. She stays away from them and will progressively hiss, spit, and swat if they approach her and persist in interacting with her. Domi bit her owner once when she was 6 months old. She had just given birth to her 4 kittens. Her owner picked up the kittens and then Domi as she tried to flee; she bit his hand. This was her only bite. Her owner reports that she cared for her kittens well. BEHAVIOR Domi is nervous in the car. She doesn’t mind being brushed or woken up. She jumps away when picked up. She struggles and meows when put in a carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Domi’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, mellow, independent, and medium energy. She follows them and sits near them. She plays with stuffed birds. She lived inside and slept on a chair or in her owner’s bed. She ate dry Friskies food and got tuna as a treat. Domi is littertrained, used an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter, and didn’t have accidents. She didn’t scratch furniture of the scratching post. Domi was tense and crouched with wide eyes, looking around, while I pet her, scanned her (+), and collared her, picked her up, and placed her in a carrier.
