Subjective: Kitten is Q/BAR.
Observed Behavior – Kitten allows all handling. Is active and moving around, but does not fight restraint. Curious, willing to explore environment.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
T = NA
P = wnl
R = wnl
EENT: Eyes moderate blepharospasm, epiphora, and chemosis, ears clean, mucopurulent nasal discharge
Oral Exam: healthy deciduous dentition; mild lingual ulceration
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, flea dirt++++, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not performed
Assessment: URI/Conjunctivitis, Underage/Underweight
Plan: Gave 1/2 Capstar PO. Move to medical section of ISO since kitten is not eating on own (able to force feed 3cc RC Baby Kitten). Start Doxycycline 50mg/mL – 0.12 mLs PO q24h x 10d and Erythromycin ophth oint – thin strip OU q12h x 10d. Seek NH placement. Monitor appetite.
