Apparently the ACC…..They have this little 9 week old lady listed to be killed tomorrow… DIM SUM probably has been on her own since she was born and had no reason to deal with humans. And now that she is forced to, all she wants to do is run away!! DIM SUM needs to be pulled by a NEW HOPE rescue. And New Hope rescues need fosters!! 10/23/16 16:00 Finder did not have any interaction with animal as kitten was in a trap Behavior during intake: Dim Sum was at the side of the trap hissing. I was able to transfer to a den without any issues. In the den, when I put my hand out, Dim Sum was hissing and trying to flee. I was unable to collar due to this behavior.

Dim Sum came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Dim Sum was hissing and attempted to flee. Reaction to assessor: Dim Sum is at the back of the cage, body low and tense. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dim Sum hisses at the assessor, ears flat. Reaction to cage door opening: Dim Sum hisses and searches for an exit. Reaction to touch: Dim Sum spits at the assessor and avoids handling. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Dim Sum does not approach the assessor, avoids petting and does not allow handling. Dim Sum is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
