ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Shy, Independent MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/15/17- Observed Behavior – a little shy/nervous but allows all handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/15/17 Curled up in litter box, looking around. Became alert when door opened, eyes dilated, hissed. Sat up and leaned away to avoid touch. 8/16/17 Curled up behind litter box, eyes dilated. Sat up and hissed when doors opened. Hunched down again to eat treats, tolerated touch while eating, then flinched and pressed against back wall. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Dillon remains tense, crouched position in the cubby at the back during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Dillon remains alert with eyes wide open, ears erect and forward, lip licking in place. Reaction to touch: Dillon accepts the touch, but slowly leans away from the assessor’s hand Behavior Summary: Dillon may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
