**SAFE 07/16/16** BEGINNER-RATED KITTEN IS A HUG MACHINE! That’s right, DIL may only be about 12 months old, but he knows what he likes, and what he likes is PEOPLE! Even the people he runs across at the ACC, people who scare other cats just by being alive. Not Dil! This social superstar earned a lovely BEGINNER rating, which strongly suggests that this guy is a keeper! Make DIL the center of attention tonight, because the more attention he gets, the more likely it is that a FOSTER/ADOPTER will step up and save his life! He only has until NOON tomorrow, so the urgency of his situation cannot be overstated. SAVE DIL TONIGHT!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Dil was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Although he was shy at first, he will solicit attention after a minute and was friendly. He tolerated all handling throughout the intake process and exam. Reaction to assessor: Dil was lying down, calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dil looks at the assessor, meows, and starts to knead. Reaction to cage door opening: Dil greets the assessor by the opening and remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Dil head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. He was very affectionate throughout the interaction and meows when petting stops. Reaction to pick up: Dil remains calm and purrs when held. Placement Determination: Beginner Dil interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
