Didi came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Didi was friendly. Reaction to assessor: Didi is lying in the back of her cage, body neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Didi remains neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Didi looks at assessor with wide eyes. Reaction to touch: Didi appreciates cheek petting and begins to purr, but after some petting hisses and tenses up. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Didi does not approach the assessor, appreciates some petting, but appears to get overstimulated easily. Didi is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow her appropriate adjustment time.
