13 yrs old. In den on approach, curled up, eyes dilated. Shifted in place slightly when touched, no other response. Sprayed thunderease.

Diamond seems interested, slowly peaks out from the den.

Diamond eyes are wide open, ears erect and forward.

Diamond comes out from the den looking around and slowly engages with tail up . She allows the touch and began to purr while appreciating the pets on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:
She allows the pickup then calmly walks back into the cage.

Diamond is a 13 year old female gray and white domestic short haired cat. Diamond lived with previous owner for about 12 years and was given to owner by a friend. Diamond was surrendered because previous owner’s girlfriend is allergic to cats and cannot have them in the house. Diamond has no injuries or health issues and was last taken to the vet in March of 2017.

Diamond enjoys being picked up and held and is not bothered when being placed inside a carrier or disturbed when she’s sleeping.

Diamond is a friendly, affectionate, playful, confident, quiet and mellow cat. Diamonds favorite activity is sleeping and when at home she will follow you around or stay in the same room with you. Diamond was an indoors only cat and would sleep in her cat bed with Piku. Diamond was free-fed Puring dry food. Diamond is litter box trained and used a hooded litter box with clumping cat litter. Diamond had a scratching post made of rough rope but preferred to scratch on furniture.
Behavior Notes:
Upon intake, Diamond allowed pets on the head. Diamond came out of her carrier on her own and allowed to be collared and pet along the top of her body. Diamond allowed to be picked up and placed into a carrier.
