SAFE 7/24/18 DEX is a year old kitten who was surrendered because owner’s son is allergic. He has a URI and has been on clavamox for the past 2 weeks. DEX needs a new furever home this time where he can get some follow up care.

Microchip noted on Intake? scanned negative by LVT on intake. MC placed on intake.
History : Surrendered by O as o’s son is allergic. P has been on clavamox for 2 weeks for a URI with mucoid nasal discharge.
Subjective / Observed Behavior – BAR, allows all handling except oral manipulation (gently pushes hands away with paws).
Evidence of Cruelty seen – none
Evidence of Trauma seen – none
Objective
BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, mild mucoid nasal discharge from left nares.
Oral Exam: dc 0/5; pd 0/5
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: No murmur ausculted; CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic. purring during exam. difficult to fully auscult.
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: neutered male.
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: grossly normal.
Assessment
URI — viral with secondary bacterial
Prognosis:
good.
Plan:
continue as rx: clavamox 62.5mg /ml — give 0.8ml PO q12h
Feline upper respiratory PCR swab
vitamin b12 injection
fortiflora q24h x 5 days
SURGERY:
already neutered
