Owner stated both are affectionate, talkative cats that are have been around children and will always let you know when they are hungry.

07/22/17 14:46 Basic Information: Delilah came in with her sister Leticia. They are both 1yr and 4 months and were bred at home and kept in the same home since they were first born. Unfortunately they were surrendered due to lack of supplies and time. They have no record of ever gong to the vet. Socialization: Around strangers and children of all ages they are both described as relaxed, playful and respectful and play gentle with both adults and children. They have been socialized with other cats and are relaxed, respectful and also play gentle. They have never been socialized with dogs and have no record of ever biting another animal or person. Behavior: Delilah will meow a lot for attention and when they are both hungry they will scratch on your door to let you know that they need food. They are both afraid of loud noises and will hide in fear and during car rides they will meow during the entire ride. During bath time Leticia will attempt to flee while Delilah will struggle and swat at you. They have never gotten their nails trimmened and enjoy having thei fur brushed, being picked up and held and are unbothered when they are disturbed while resting. They however do not like being placed in carriers and will struggle and swat when attempting to be put in a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Delilah is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, assertive, independent, shy and ralkative while Leticia is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, shy, independent and talkative. They have medium activity levels, love playing with balls, strings and laser pointers and will follow you around when home with you. They enjoy sleeping on furniture, eat both wet and dry food Meow mix 2-3x a day, are considered litter box trained, prefer uncovered litter boxes with pellet litter and enjoy scratching posts made of smooth wood. Intake: Upon intake Delilah and Leticia allowed most handling and being collared. They began to his and growl when counselor attempted to put in carrier and struggled to be placed inside.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Curious KNOWN HISTORY: Lived Indoors Previously lived with: adults, 1 and 5 years old, 2 cats, a small and a large dog Behavior toward strangers: shy for a few minutes then she is very friendly when she warms up to them Behavior toward children: respectful and tolerant Behavior toward cats: respectful and tolerant Behavior toward dogs: a small and a large dog and she is very respectful and tolerant Bite or Scratch history: none Litter box training: yes Other notes: described as friendly, affectionate, playful, and confident. Tiger has a high level of activity. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/24/17 Seems anxious, unsure. Eyes dilated, body held low. Came forward when spoken to, intermittent hissing and whining. Ate a few treats, played with pipe cleaner toy. Remained alert. Occasionally retreated to hide behind bedding draped over kuranda bed, but would also come to front with lots of coaxing, sniffed hand between bars. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Tiger remains neutral, sitting upright by the front during the approach. Reaction to cage door opening: Tiger stands with tail up, soliciting attention, meowing by the front. Reaction to touch: Tiger seems hesitant at first, distance increase but began to slowly lean into the assessor’s hand, roll over, and appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: During the pickup, she began to focus on sudden noises and started to grumble then got placed back into the cage. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Tiger interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
