I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/02/2016 from NY 10307, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-076447.

10/02/16 16:46 Finder was able to pick kitten up and place into a carrier to bring to our facility. Finder did not have much interaction with the animal but did state that the kitten did not try to scratch or bite the finder. Behavior during intake: Animal was very nervous and trying to flee during intake. When I put my hand out for Danish to smell, kitten backed away from me, lip licking. I was able to scan for a mc and take a picture but was unable to collar.

Danish came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Danish attempted to flee. Reaction to assessor: Danish is sitting in his litter box, a bit tense. Reaction when softly spoken to: Danish remains motionless. Reaction to cage door opening: Danish meows. Reaction to touch: Danish allows petting all over body but remains still. Reaction to pick up: Danish is tolerant of this type of handling. Placement Determination: Experience Danish does not approach the assessor, appears nervous but is tolerant of petting and handling. Danish is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents. Please note that Danish is being treated for an upper-respiratory infection at the time of the assessment, and that this may affect the behaviors shown.
