This neutered male is 4 years old and would make a wonderful pet for a BEGINNER HOME!! DAMIAN is calm, relaxed and friendly and rubs his cute little cheeks into the blanket in his cage! He PURRS WHEN HE’S PET and nuzzles the visitor’s hand! What a LOVING CAT!!! A volunteer writes: “Damian is a very playful young guy. Damian was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was tense upon intake, but was reported to be friendly and allowed all handling during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Damian was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Damian puts his head down on his blanket and rubs his cheeks on the blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Damian remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Damian leans in for petting, closes his eyes, and begins to purr. After a few strokes, he rolls over and nudges the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Damian remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Damian interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Abscess d/c continuing but cat is otherwise stable. _________________________ staff reported possible injury to left hind paw third digit on left hind paw is swollen mild amount of serous discharge seen possible abscess keeps licking and biting at the area appears painful when area is touched will be transported to MACC for a vet exam
