Dalia A1114599 – 11 month spayed brown tabby, stray:
Last day of erythromycin, recheck blepharospasm OS
S/O: BAR. Attention seeking. Eating well
EENT: Mild conjunctivitis and serous ocular discharge OS, moderate serous nasal discharge
P: Rec doxycycline 0.7ml PO q24 x 10 days, continue erythromycin OU q24 x 5 days
S/O: BARH. Attention seeking, eating well, allows all handling but tries to get away during parts of exam
EENT: Mild conjunctivitis OS (improved), mild serous nasal discharge
HL: Normal thoracic auscultation, no sneeze marks or sneezing
ABD: Normal abdominal palpation
MS: Ambulatory x 4
A: Conjunctivitis improving
P: OK for spay. Continue with current treatment and monitoring plan.
Dalia was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home.
Allows all exam
Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor: Dalia was resting on her blanket at the back of the kennel.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Dalia meows loudly then comes forward and rubs her entire body up against the kennel door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Dalia shifts away to the other side of the double kennel.
Reaction to touch: Dalia is a little unsure but leans forward to sniff the assessor. She gentle pets and slinks down when touched along her body. Her body starts to perk up with continued contact, she leans in for rubs and starts to appreciate attention.
Reaction to being picked up: Dalia is calm, relaxed and nuzzles up in the assessor’s arms.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively
VOCAL: Somewhat chatty
CHARACTER TYPE: Affectionate, Sweet
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average
Dalia interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
