Lying in litterbox with a flat, tense body. Face is mostly hidden behind litterbox and ears are flattened. Pupils dilated. Tolerates petting along head and body while raising head and leaning away from my hand, pupils remaining dilated and body tensing further. Not interested in treats at the moment. Needs more time to adjust.

Dahlia looks at the assessor and slowly shifts her body, hunching over.

Dahlia sniffs the assessor’s hand and accepts petting. She arches her back and slowly lifts her rear, warming up to attention. She begins to purr and gets up, slowly walking towards the assessor and leans in for more attention.

Dahlia remains calm and nuzzles against the assessor.
