***SAFE 10/28/16***SAD SENIOR WITH GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING NEEDS TLC AND YOU! Cumino is a lovely and loving 16 year old fab feline in desperate need of her rescue angel. This poor girl has obviously spent some time on the street recently, definitely in need of some good meals. She is missing most of her teeth but that doesn’t stop Cumino from being extremely kind, gentle and appreciative of attention and petting. She received an awesome pawesome average behavior rating. She could use a geriatric workup with a competent vet once out of the shelter. Let’s do everything we can to ensure that this precious girl gets to spend her golden years getting the love and care that she has obviously been missing for so long. 10/22/16 16:19 Cumino is a gray medium hair that is possible 8 years old. The cat was found as a friendly stray but with a matted coat. Finder noticed that the cat allowed being picked up. During intake Cumino allowed being collard, scanned and photographed.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cumino was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Cumino was relaxed in his litter box at the back of the crate. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cumino lifts his head up, makes eye contact then looks around at his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Cumino is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cumino sniffs the assessor’s hand, allows petting all over and is very sweet. He leans in when rubbed on his cheeks, raises his body when touched along his back and starts to purr softly when given head rubs. He appreciates attention but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to being picked up: Cumino was a bit tense when picked up but remains calm in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Cumino interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

10/25/16 Monitor appetite/condition. O: QAR, resting in back of cage. Ate all dry and canned food, drinking well. No vomiting/diarrhea, no sneezing or nasal discharge. A: Stable, good appetite. P: Continue to mointor while at BACC. Fair prognosis. 10/24/16 Geriatric exam – underweight, severe matting O: QARH. mm=pink, moist. CRT<2 s. Eating/drinking well. ORAL: Missing majority of teeth. Has L. mand C and L Mand M1 remaining. EENT: Eyes slightly sunken OU. No oculonasal discharge. H/L: Lungs clear, no murmurs. ABD: Soft, non-painful. No masses palpable. MS: Thin body condition with muscle wasting. Amb x 4. INTEG: Mats throughout haircoat, worse on ventral aspect. A: geriatric cat – est. 16 years. Thin condition DDX: Renal disease, hyperthyroid, liver disease, neoplasia. P: Monitor appetitie and overall condition while at BACC. Set up for mat shaving. Rec. placement. Fair prognosis with appropriate workup and management of underlying health condition(s).
