11/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Creamsicle came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Isabella attempted to flee in trap prior to transfer and did not allow any handling. Reaction to assessor: Creamsicle is hiding in his den hissing, body stiff. Reaction when softly spoken to: Creamsicle becomes very alert, wide eyes and stiff. Reaction to cage door opening: Creamsicle continues to hiss, body remains stiff and tries to flee from den. Reaction to touch: Creamsicle swats at assessor and tries to flee, does not allow any handling. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Creamsicle is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Creamsicle is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
