Cream is a neutered, three year old big ginger boy who was brought to ACC for the lame “allergies” excuse. He is described by his previous owner as an outgoing and loving boy who seems to be pretty much a perfect cat. Cream is scared at the shelter but don’t let a New Hope Only rating deter you from this amazingly, awesome kitty. Apply to foster or adopt this fella and make his dreams come true!

09/19/16 15:54 Basic Info: Cream A1090454 is a 3yr old neutered male diluted orange tabby DSH feline who was purchased at a pet store 2yrs ago & is being surrendered due allergies. Cream was last seen by a veterinarian in 2014 for his neuter and currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Cream is friendly/outgoing. He hasn’t been around other animals but was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate & playful with the 3wk old child and the adults. Cream hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: During car rides Cream will meow or be relaxed. He isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up/held, being brushed or with being placed into a carrier. Cream will give himself a bath with the running water if someone is taking a shower. He hasn’t had his nails trimmed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Cream is described as friendly, affectionate, playful & confident with a low-high activity level. When the owner is home Cream follows them around. He enjoys mouse & ball toys and is an indoor only cat that sleeps where ever. Cream eats dry & wet Friskies 1-3x a day. He is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within. Cream didn’t like his door scratching post so he scratched on the wooden part of the couch. Intake Behavior: Cream had a soft body & soft eyes. He allowed all handling. Cream allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of including positioning him during his photo session. He didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held & was placed into a kennel with ease.

Former owne stated around strangers Cream is friendly/outgoing. He hasn’t been around other animals but was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate & playful with the 3wk old child and the adults. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful & confident with a low-high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Cream looks neutral, sitting upright by the front when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cream retreats to the back, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Cream does not allow the stroke, hisses at the assessor’s hand and raises paw attempting to swat. Placement determination: NH ONLY Cream is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
