Medical Summary 01/15/17 16:51 scan negative 1-2 yo female DSH S: purring, soliciting head rubs, ate extremely well during exam O: BAR dehydrated AU: brown and black debris in ear canals, nonpruritic OU: purulent OU dischrge, enophthalmus, visual OU Oral: gingical recession, few mising incisors, no tartar or calculi Int: (1) approx 1cm diameter open abscess on lateral L carpus with overlying skin purple in color (2) approx -0.5 cm dry scabing lesion on lateral R carpus (3) extremely dirty rough haircoat, hypotrichosis to alopecia on hindlimbs Lnn: WNL CV: NMA, HR 180, pale pink tacky mm Resp: clear lungs, eupnic Abd: SNP Repro: female MS: emaciated and severely mm wasted, BCS 1/9, falling over in hind when attempting to walk but sits sternally, nonpainful over limbs or spine Neuro: mentation WNL, PLRs WNL, withdrawal WNL x4, tail tone WNL A: abscess conjunctivitis otitis externa open for hindlimb gait deficits weakenss vs orthopedic vs neuro vs other starvation vs other P: CBC/CHem/T4 (unable to oibtain sample) 60ml LRS SQ cleaned and flushed absecess on LHLwith sterile saline 0.55ml Amoxiclav PO BID (first dose given at exam) px: good with response to treatment, recommend complete bloodwork to rule out underlying condition, X rays to determine carpal joint affected by abscessation and rule out orthopedic issues in hips if gait problems do not resolve
