10/22/16 17:04 Basic Information Cosmo is an approximate 1 year old male domestic short hair. Cosmo was brought to our facility as a stray. Finder stated she feeds this cat and many others by her work place. She was ordered by the city to bring them in. Finder has never handled Cosmo. He does not tolerate being touched or approached. Behavior during Intake Cosmo hissed, swatted, and spit. No handling of this cat took place in the admissions office.

Reaction to assessor: Cosmo looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assesssor. Reaction to door opening: Cosmo remains in place, alert with eyes dilated. Reaction to touch: Cosmo does not allow the stroke then strikes and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Cosmo is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
