A volunteer writes: Cookie is another pretty, young tortoiseshell kitty. She doesn’t seem friendly at first, because she sits in her litter box for hours on end. But you can pet her with wild abandon, as long as she’s in her box. Maybe it’s like a security blanket! I’m sure that if you take this lovely girl home, she will easily find a safe spot there, hopefully a nice kitty bed rather that the litter box! And wherever that soft and safe place is, Cookie will continue to enjoy being loved.
