06/18/17 17:39 Basic information: Colette is a 6 year old Gray Spayed DSH. Her owner got her as a gift from a friend, she needs to surrender because she is moving and the landlord doesn’t allow pets. Colette has no know health problems or injuries, her last vet visit was May 2017. Socialization: Around strangers Colette is shy for a few minutes; she has no history with children. When playing with adults she is somewhat rough. Colette has a living history with other cats, her owner stated that she is an alpha female and should only live or be around male cats. Colette has no history with dogs and no bite history. Behavior: Colette is housetrained; during car rides she will meow/cries but only for a little while. She has never had a bath, the vet trimmed her nails. Colette isn’t bothered when being brushed, picked up /held; after a few minutes she may want to get down. When being placed in a carrier Colette will struggle, swat, and hiss. She isn’t bothered if disturbed while sleeping. For a new Family to Know: Colette’s family would describe her as friendly, confident, and independent. She has a medium activity level, and enjoys running around. When you’re at home she will follow you around, and is kept indoors only. Colette likes to sleep with her owner or in the chair, she eats both dry/wet food 2 times a day. Colette uses an uncovered litter box with crystal and clumping cat litter. She has a scratching post made out of carpet material.

Reaction to door opening: Colette remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Colette head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Colette interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
