Re-exam URI
History : stray intake 9/18. Started on doxycycline and erythromycin for URI. Given LRS once
Subjective: QAR, ~7% dehydrated. Has not eaten any food and there is diarrhea in the litter box. No v/c. Sneezing and has moderate URI
Objective
P = wnl R = wnl BCS 3/9
EENT: Conjunctivitis OU with purlent ocular d/c ou, ears clean, purulent nasal discharge noted both nares
Oral Exam: kitten dentition, no oral ulcers
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic but audible congestion
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dirty hair coat. thin
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
URI
conjunctivitis/nasal discharge
Dehydrated
Diarrhea
Inappetence
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
In medical isolation
LRS 15ml SQ SID x5d
Parvo snap-negative
Cerenia 1mg/kg SQ SID x5d
Mirtazapine 15mg: 1/8 tablet PO
Recheck daily
Continue erythromycin
continue doxycycline
Prognosis: Fair
Parvo Snap – negative
LRS 15ml SQ
Cerenia 0.08ml SQ
Mirtazipine 15 – 1/8 of tablet by mouth
