09/02/17 19:28 Basic Information Cody is a male orange and white tabby cat that is estimated to be 2 years old. He was brought in as a stray when the finder was concerned for the pet’s health. He has a known health issue. Behavior during Intake Cody has a loose body during intake he allowed us to inspect his injuries and pick him up. He was head-butting when he was being handled and went in to the carrier on his own.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Social KNOWN HISTORY: Cody was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 9/3/17 Came immediately to the front on approach, soft eyes and body, started meowing, purring, and rubbing against the bars. Leaned and arched enthusiastically into pets, still purring and drooling everywhere. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Cody immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cody engages, meowing attention. Reaction to door opening: Cody remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Cody head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Cody interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
