Lying down, flat body posture. Makes eye contact when softly spoken to, lifting head up slightly. Hesitant, but allows petting and slowly leans in for cheek rubs. Body remains tense and seems unsure, lip licking and looking around. Has potential to warm up more, needs positive reinforcement.
07/05/18
Pressed up against the back wall of the kennel, dilated pupils. She lip licks, and her ears bend slightly when spoken to softly. Her eyes dart around the kennel and she leans away when I extended my hand out. She starts breathing rapidly, but tolerates slow gentle petting along her body. The end of her tail thumps with every soft pass, and she continues to hiss. Needs more time to adjust.

Potential challenges comments:
Ciroc has displayed fearful behavior during their stay in the care center and may dislike certain types of handling. A fearful cat will feel more relaxed when given options, so provide her with the chance to move closer, investigate, or interact with you. Be sure to offer incentive such as treats or play time whenever the cat makes a small positive step. Please speak to an adoption counselor for additional information on methods to desensitize your cat to their fear stimulus.
