Cinnamon is a 6 year old spayed Orange Tabby. She was found as a stray by owner and has been in owners care since. She is being surrendered into the center due to owner moving to a place where pets aren’t allowed. There are no known health injuries or concerns.
Around strangers she is friendly and outgoing. She has experience with children of all ages and is usually tolerant; with adults she doesn’t interact but will play alone. She has been around other cats and at times with play and is gentle other times she doesn’t play. There is known history of her biting another animal or person.
When she wants attention or you have just came home she will cry. There is no known history of her having litter box accidents. She has never been given a bath or nails trimmed. She enjoys having her coat brushed and isn’t bothered when being picked up and held or placed in a carrier.
Cinnamon is described as being friendly with a medium activity level. Her favorite activity is eating. When home she will be in the same room; when you coming into the home she will sit and wait for you. She was mostly kept indoors and sleeps anywhere comfortable. She was freed fed both wet and dry food. Litter boxed trained using an uncovered box with any type of litter.
BEHAVIOR:
As per previous owner, Around strangers Cinnamon is friendly and outgoing. She has experience with children of all ages and is usually tolerant; with adults she doesn’t interact but will play alone. She has been around other cats and at times will play. Other times she doesn’t play. Cinnamon is described as being friendly with a medium activity level. Her favorite activity is eating.
Reaction to assessor: Cinnamon does not come to front but looks at you relaxed and friendly
When spoken quietly: Cinnamon comes to the front of cage soliciting attention
Reaction to door cage opening: Cinnamon remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: Cinnamon solicits petting and attention
Try picking cat up: Cinnamon is tolerant of this type of handling
Behavior Determination: Beginner
At the time of the assessment Cinnamon was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Cinnamon is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
