04/12/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/12/17 14:02 Basic Info Cindy is an orange tabby that was originally found as a stray and was cared for five years. Unfortunately, due to her recent behavior, her owner can no longer care for her. She is said to not have any injuries or health problems. She has never been seen by a veterinarian. Socialization Around strangers, Cindy is said to be fearful and hiding when people come visit. There was a ten year old child in the home but did not interact at all, just hid. She never played with the owner but would lie next to her. She has never been around any other cats. She has lived with a one year old male intact Chihuahua and played gently and would run around the apartment. She has never bitten anyone or any other animal. Behavior Cindy is said to scratch the furniture when she’s not hiding. She has never been exposed to a scratching post and she also tends to hide under furniture. She has never been given a bath, had her nails trimmed or had her coat brushed. She tends to struggle when picked up and held. She has never been put in a carrier before. For a New Family to Know Cindy is said to be friendly and affectionate yet shy and fearful. Her activity level is described as low. Her favorite thing to do was to run around with the small dog. At home, she tends to stay hidden and not seeking attention. She does like to play with string, balls, wand toys and stuffed toys. She has been kept indoors only. Cindy was used to sleeping on the owner’s bed or on the couch. She has eaten Meow mix dry food, a cup and a half twice a day. She is said to be litter box trained with an uncovered litter box and clumping litter. Behavior during Intake Counselor attempted to handle but Cindy swatted. Several minutes after counselor initially tried, they took Cindy out but wasn’t able to collar because she hissed. So counselor allowed her to walk into her kennel. Cindy scanned negative for a microchip.
