***SAFE 10/04/16***POOR CINDY! She had a great life with a family, a 7 year old and some cat pals. That is, until a new baby came a long and CINDY had trouble adjusting. CINDY peed on the new baby’s things. Instead of bringing CINDY to the vet for a medical or behavioral issue, that could easily have been cured, they abandoned this pretty Torbie at the shelter where she will be killed tomorrow if she’s not adopted! One wrong move, and this poor kitty was out the door! CINDY is AN AWESOME CAT! She’s PLAYFUL, AFFECTIONATE, FRIENDLY and FULL OF PURRS!! She would make a wonderful addition to any beginner or average pet home! This gorgeous girl with the big eyes would love to be your BFF (Best Furry Friend!) Please be SWEET CINDY’S KITTY ANGEL TODAY!!!

09/27/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/27/16 09:42 Basic Info Cindy is a one year old domestic shorthair torbie. She has lived with her previous owner since she was a few weeks old. Cindy was surrendered because she was peeing on the belongings of the new baby in previous owner’s house. She has not seen a vet for this behavior. Socialization Cindy was reported to be friendly around strangers. She was reported to approach people and allow for petting and to be held. Cindy lived with children, and infant and a seven year old. She loved to play with and cuddle the seven year old. She had not been allowed to have significant interaction with the infant. Cindy loves to play with adults and children. She runs around and chases toys. She lived with four other cats, and enjoyed playing and cuddling with them. She also lived with a small dog and several ferrets. She loved running around with them, and would often sleep with the dog. Behavior Cindy has recently begun to pee outside of the litterbox, specifically on things that smell like the new baby. The baby was brought into the home very recently, so Cindy has not had much time to adjust. Cindy was very abruptly introduced to the baby and the baby’s smells. Additionally, Cindy has one litterbox she shares with several other cats, and it is covered. Cindy will allow for baths, although she meows loudly and struggles. She loves to be brushed and held, and is not difficult to put in a carrier. For a New Family to Know Cindy was described as friendly and affectionate. She has a high activity level. She loves to chase toys around the house. Cindy has been indoors only and is used to dry food. She uses a hooded litterbox (although has recently been peeing only outside of it) with clumping litter. Behavior During Intake Cindy arrived in a box. Her owner opened it repeatedly during intake, and Cindy sat patiently inside each time. She allowed counselor to pick her up out of the box. Counselor collared her while she purred. Cindy allowed counselor to pick her up and adjust her on the table to take pictures in different poses. She walked right into a carrier when one was opened for her.
