I am a male crm tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/22/2017 from NY 10473, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

03/25/2017 Exam Type CAGE EXAM – Medical Rating is 4 C – SEVERE CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 11.4 LBS.
03/25/17 10:53 S/O: recheck general health Sweet, docile, cat, allows handling, friendly resting on bed in kennel EENT: pink gums, no nasal or ocular d/c ABN: SNP SKIN: few superficial scratches on face H/L: eupneic, didn’t ascult a heart murmur, although was noted on intake, no arrythmias, lungs clear UROGEN: MI A: tested positive for FIV MI h/o HM P: ok to monitor. At this time bloodwork revealed no abnormalities, no anemia, overall organ function is normal. As with any FIV positive cat, preventative care is strongly recommended. FIV positive cats can live long healthy lives, but regular veterinary care (annual exams, updating vxn’s, annual CBC/chem testing, bringing p to seek veterinary care if any signs of illness) and keeping them indoors only are important their immune systems are compromised therfore more sensitive to illnesses. Heart murmurs should be monitored, ideally, but not required at this stage would be a cardiologist consultation to possibly perform an ECHO to determine the underlying cause of the murmur. Cats may never suffer clinical signs associated with murmurs, but if they show any signs of weakness, difficulty breathing, panting, or inability to use one or both of the hindlimbs- should bring to veterinarian immediately 3/23/17 History Stray, no hx given Subjective Calm, lay on table, allowed all handling Objective BCS 4/9, mild muscle wasting over ribcage EENT: Mild crusting below eyes, no chemosis noted. 03/22/17 14:35 Basic information: Chips was brought in as a stray. The finder found him on the street, the finder placed Chips in a cat carrier and brought him to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Chips had tense, stiff body. Sydney would retreat from extended would retreat from the handler. We were able to scan (negative), collared, pictured and place in a cat kennel.

KNOWN HISTORY: Chips was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was receptive to all handling during intake and did not display any signs of aggression. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Calm, lay on table, allowed all handling EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Chips lays in place and looks at the assessor with soft eyes and body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chips meows quietly. Reaction to cage door opening: Chips remains calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Chips leans into the stroke and closes his eyes. Reaction to being picked up: Chips sits calmly in the assessor’s arms. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Calm, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Chips interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
