I am a spayed female, tortie Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 5 months old.
I weigh 6 pounds.
I was found in NY 10029.
I have been at the shelter since May 19, 2017.
Chicky was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior in her previous home. Her finder reports she tolerated handling, but she attempted to flee when held during intake. Her foster parents has been working with her and reports she remains a bit shy.
Observed Behavior – Friendly, Calm, prefer not to be handled.
Cage Condition: Cage is neat
Reaction to assessor: Chicky was resting by the back, but looks at the assessor with soft eyes.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Chicky begins to blink softly.
Reaction to cage door opening: Chicky remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Chicky sniffs the assessor’s hand and was a bit hesitant of touch, but she accepts petting and remains in place. She closes her eyes and leans in when rubbed on her cheeks.
Reaction to being picked up: Chicky remains soft and allows handling.
