***SAFE 09/23/16*** IN THE WRONG PLACE AND THE WRONG TIME!! CHEWBACCA was trapped outside the Staten Island ACC when they set a trap for another cat that got loose! This poor boy is about 2 years old and his nose is all red and scratched most likely from trying to escape the trap. What cat wouldn’t? CHEWBACCA is an awful name for a handsome kitty like this. Sadly this poor boy is terrified at being caged in the shelter and is trying to avoid all touch and run. I’d run too knowing what lies ahead for this cat. CHEWBACCA is young and needs a patient purrson to give him a chance to escape to a loving home. You can never tell what some love and TLC and FOOD will do to help a frightened kitty relax and trust. PLEASE OFFER CHEWBACCA A SMALL SPACE IN YOUR HOME TO CHILL OUT AND DECOMPRESS AND YOU MAY FIND YOU HAVE A NEW BEST FRIEND! HE IS NEW HOPE RATED SO YOU NEED A RESCUE TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY. EMAIL [email protected] NOW FOR INFO.

09/13/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/13/16 08:18 Cat was found in a trap that had been left in the back yard at SIACC this morning when a worker went out there to set up for dogs to come out. The trap had been left to catch a cat that had run out on another worker the previous day. Cat was fearful at time of intake; had a scrape on nose, possibly due to trying to get out of trap. Cat appears healthy. 09/13/16 10:23 Update: I received confirmation that the above stated cat is in fact different from the cat that had gotten loose yesterday.
